Donations

Financial Donations

The Museum of Natural History Collections (MNHC) welcomes financial donations of any size to support either its general operations or specific activities or projects. Currently, the existence of the Natural History of the UCSC Campus course is made possible by the generosity of a local donor.

To make a financial donation, please contact MNHC curator Chris Lay by phone at 831-459-4763 or via email at cml@ucsc.edu.

Reference Books

The museum maintains an extensive library of field guides, natural history resources, and museum methods references for use by museum staff, interns, and volunteers. The MNHC would be grateful to accept appropriate reference materials to add to this library. If you have any natural history or museum methods reference books that you would like to donate, please contact MNHC curator Chris Lay by phone at 831-459-4763 or via email at cml@ucsc.edu

Specimens

The MNHC welcomes donations of specimens that expand the museum's collections of the flora and fauna of UCSC, the UCSC reserves, Santa Cruz county, and the central Californian coast. If you are interested in donating specimens to the MNHC, please contact MNHC curator Chris Lay by phone at 831-459-4763 or via email at cml@ucsc.edu.
